International Conference on Entrepreneurship (ICE) 2008

The International Conference on Entrepreneurship (ICE) 2008 was organized by Faculty of Management and Muamalah (FMM), Kolej Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Selangor (KUIS) on 27 and 28 May 2008 at Meritus Pelangi Beach Resort and Spa, Langkawi, Kedah Darul Aman.

ICE 2008 offered the much needed opportunities of presenting academic papers at international level for both lecturers and practitioners from different background. Besides local presenters from Malaysia's public and private universities, ICE 2008 became host to various international presenters such as from India, Germany, Iran, Indonesia, Jordan, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, and Thailand.

There were 120 odd participants and 104 papers presented in 5 parallel sessions. The majority of FMM lecturers involved as presenters cum organizing committees. The rest participated as the committee members.

Three lecturers from KUIS' Department of Economics had co-authored papers with other lecturers and presented them in the conference. They were as follow (in colored letters):

• Siti Hawa Raden Ehsan, Abdul Rahim Zumrah, Norziah Othman and Muna Sulaiman; "5 personality trait model. Its significance on entreprepreneur personality in Selangor."

• Mawar Murni Yunus and Mohd Adib Ismail; "Beginning money, economics and entrepreneurship - children homeschooling."
